WILLOW OSBORNE
ARTIST Biography
Seventeen Year-Old Willow Osborne, picked up her first banjo at the tender age of four, and was taught by her friend & mentor, Gary “Biscuit” Davis, the only 4-time International Banjo Champion. Homeschooled and a high school graduate at sixteen she is currently enrolled as a full-time online student at Arizona State University.
She is blessed to be endorsed by Deering banjos and plays her Sierra, Calico and Phoenix 6-string with pride. Willow is also proudly endorsed by Neat banjos with her own custom made gold banjo, GHS Strings, BlueChip Picks and sponsored by C and C Contractors.
Dollywood Theme Parks gave Willow her first stage experience with lead rolls in their musical productions “Babes in Toyland”, “Sha-Kon-O-Hey”, and “Twas the night before Christmas”. She has been honored to be asked back yearly to be part of Dollywood’s “Bluegrass and Barbeque Festival”.
Willow has also held the title “International Miss” in the prestigious International Cinderella Scholarship Program as well as being the Tennessee state title holder for the Tot and Mini-Miss divisions.
Willow has appeared on “Woodsongs” with Rhonda Vincent and The Rage, The United States Navy Bluegrass Band and Pat Flynn. She was interviewed and had the honor of playing with Banjo legend Jens Kruger in the TV documentary about his life. Willow’s stage presence, vocal, and instrumental skills have given her the rare opportunity to be the Youth Performer at the Country Tonite Theatre in Pigeon Forge for the past 7 years.
Most recently Willow was cast in the upcoming MacGillivary Freeman IMAX Film “America’s Musical Journey”. The movie will premiere February 15th, 2018 at the Smithsonian.
Willow’s YouTube channel currently has over 7,000,000 views. She feels blessed to have such a wonderful fan base.
